Cooler temperatures are ahead Monday in central Oklahoma with a chance for thunderstorms, the National Weather Service reports.

The Oklahoma City forecast is as follows:

Monday: Rain likely and possibly a thunderstorm. Cloudy with a high near 75. Light and variable wind becoming east, southeast 5 to 8 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent.

Tuesday: A 40 percent chance of rain and thunderstorms. Cloudy with a low around 67. East wind 3 to 8 mph.

Tuesday: A 40 percent chance of rain and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy with a high near 86. Calm wind becoming southeast 5 to 8 mph in the morning.

Tuesday night: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy with a low around 70. East, southeast wind 5 to 8 mph becoming calm after midnight.

Wednesday: A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy with a high near 87. Southeast wind 3 to 8 mph.

Wednesday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 71.

Thursday: Mostly sunny with a high near 91.

Thursday night: Mostly clear with a low around 72.

Friday: Sunny with a high near 92.
