Cooler temperatures in Oklahoma Tuesday

Temperatures will be lower Tuesday with a north wind. The high temperature Tuesday in central Oklahoma will be near 40 degrees.

Temperatures will not rise above 40 degrees Tuesday in central Oklahoma with gusty north winds.

Winds will gust up to 23 mph Tuesday, the National Weather Service reports.

The Oklahoma City forecast is as follows:

Tuesday: Sunny with a high near 40. North wind 7 to 16 mph becoming south in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 23 mph.

Tuesday night: Mostly clear with a low around 29. South wind 5 to 8 mph becoming light and variable.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 49. North, northeast wind 9 to 13 mph.

Wednesday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 16. North, northeast wind 9 to 14 mph increasing to 15 to 20 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 28 mph.

Thursday: Mostly sunny with a high near 24. North, northeast wind 11 to 20 mph with gusts as high as 28 mph.

Thursday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 9.

Friday: Sunny with a high near 37.

Friday night: Mostly clear with a low around 28.

Saturday: Sunny with a high near 56.

Saturday night: Mostly clear with a low around 32.

Sunday: Sunny with a high near 61.

Sunday night: Mostly clear with a low around 33.

Monday: Sunny with a high near 49.
