A cool, windy day is ahead Friday in Oklahoma, the National Weather Service reports.

Skies will be clear and sunny.

Winds will gust from the north, northwest up to 24 mph.

The Oklahoma City forecast is as follows:

Friday: Sunny with a high near 64. North, northwest wind 8 to 17 mph with gusts as high as 24 mph.

Friday night: Mostly clear with a low around 38. North, northeast wind around 6 mph becoming east, southeast after midnight.

Saturday: Mostly sunny with a high near 66. Southeast wind around 8 mph.

Saturday night: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy with a low around 44. Southeast wind around 8 mph.

Sunday: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Cloudy with a high near 59. East, southeast wind 6 to 8 mph.

Sunday night: A chance of showers mainly before 1 a.m. Cloudy with a low around 44. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.

Monday: A 20 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy with a high near 64.

Monday night: Mostly cloudy with a low around 42.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny with a high near 64.
