Cops Bust Woman for Swiping $2.87 From Fountain

A western Ohio woman charged with petty theft for allegedly stealing $2.87 from a courthouse fountain says she is jobless and took the change to buy food.



WBNS-TV reports a police officer found $2.87 in change in Deidre Romine's pocket. He charged her with petty theft and gave her a summons for a court appearance.

"I'm trying to feed myself and I've got four cats I'm raising and I'm trying to feed them."
