A recent tragic murder-suicide brought out Bob Costas' anti-gun stand. If, during his next halftime segment, he will declare a comparable complaint against cars that are used to commit crimes, to include murder and the commission of drunken driving deaths, we fans would be more likely to approve of his invasion of our time. We may even support him in a campaign to rid the United States of these two dangerous weapons that act on their own volition, without human effect. We Americans would surely be better off, wouldn't we?
Or should we demand that Costas stay on the subject of the National Football League and the game for our half-time viewing and listening pleasure?
