Oklahoma country music powerhouses Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert and Reba McEntire are featured on the cover of the Jan. 27 issues of Country Weekly, available now.

The magazine has declared 2014 “The Year of the Women” and showcased the Okie ladies accordingly, pondering on the cover “Will Miranda, Reba and Carrie help turn the tide for the future of country music?”

Here’s what CW has to say:

You can easily declare that 2013 belonged to the country boys. But 2014 is shaping up as the Year of the Woman, with many female stars ramping up their music and tackling controversial and fascinating subjects.

We take a close look at the music of Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert, Kacey Musgraves and others in this special cover section.

I haven’t seen the issue yet, but with the bro-country homogeneity of 2013, I’m sincerely hoping 2014 is “The Year of the Women.”
