Couple arrested following reported chase, alleged threats on officer

A couple was arrested early Thursday on accusations that they chased a man with knife and attempted to assault a police officer at a Tulsa park, authorities said.

Tulsa County sheriff's deputies were dispatched to O'Brien Park at 6149 N. Lewis Ave just after 1 a.m. to investigate a report that a man was being chased by someone carrying knife.

The man told deputies that two men and a woman had been seen running along the 6100 block of North Gillette Avenue minutes earlier, authorities said.
