Cochran is scheduled to appear in court at 10 a.m. Feb. 4.
Cochran previously had faced three counts of sexual battery for two alleged incidents that took place on Aug. 15, 2012, and Nov. 3, 2011. Those incidents occurred in an OSU dormitory and elsewhere in Stillwater, according to court documents.
In one of the previous incidents, a man told police Cochran groped him while he was asleep Nov. 3, 2011, according to court documents.
A second man told police Cochran groped him on Aug. 15 while the man was asleep in Cochran’s dorm room. The man told police he went to the bathroom and that Cochran sent him a series of panicked text messages, according to court documents.
Cochran pleaded not guilty to the three previous charges Dec. 13.
OSU officials have been criticized for their handling of the case. University officials learned of the assault reports on Nov. 12, when a series of students filed reports against Cochran. But university officials never notified police about the matter, saying federal student privacy regulations prevented them from doing so.
Instead, OSU held student conduct hearings against Cochran. At the end of those hearings, Cochran was suspended from OSU for three years beginning with the end of the fall 2012 semester.
