Oklahoma State freshman James Anderson, the team's leading scorer, said Tuesday evening that he is not considering transferring despite coach Sean Sutton's resignation.

"We're all taking it together as a team that we're losing our coach,” Anderson said. "It's just something we gotta deal with.”

Assistant coaches and athletic director Mike Holder met with the team on Tuesday afternoon before the news conference announcing Sutton's resignation. Holder said he gave Sutton an opportunity to address the players on his own, but early Tuesday evening freshman reserve Marshall Moses said he had not yet spoken with Sutton.

"We love Coach Sean to death,” Moses said. "I've played for a lot of coaches in my life and none of them know as much about the game as Coach Sean. I love the man and his family.”

Moses said despite loyalty to Sutton, "nobody's going. We're playing for whoever comes in.”

Moses did acknowledge that some players — particularly sophomore Obi Muonelo — took the news harder than others.

Junior Byron Eaton raised the question of players transferring previously.

"I hope he's coming back,” Eaton said after the Big 12 Tournament. "If he don't I know there's gonna be a lot of changes around here. If that happens I think a lot of guys will try to leave. It will depend on who they bring in.”

The "he" I was referring to was the "he" in Kelly from Stillwater's comment, not the "he" in Eaton's quote. To re-phrase....Kelly, who did the radio show state was transferring?

read closer Barry. It says "After the Big 12 tournament". That was a flashback quote, basically Eaton was saying he hoped Sean was still their coach after they lost to Texas.

After three straight NIT trips any player that wants to transfer elsewhere should be encouraged to do so.
