Cowboys step up to beat Texas A&M 60-42
Oklahoma State got 17 points from Brian Williams, 15 from Keiton Page and 12 from Markel Brown in a 60-42 victory over Texas A&M on Saturday.

STILLWATER — Without injured Le'Bryan Nash for Saturday's game against Texas A&M, one question hovered ominously over the Cowboys.
Who, outside of Oklahoma State's remaining core, could rise up and contribute to an OSU win Saturday inside Gallagher-Iba Arena? Philip Jurick? Cezar Guerrero? Marek Soucek, maybe? Would you believe all three? OSU's other regulars — Keiton Page, Brian Williams, Markel Brown and Michael Cobbins — did their thing, with Williams providing a big second half, scoring 13 of his game-high 17 points over the final 17:11. But the part-time trio proved vital, too, helping the Cowboys to a 60-42 romp, their first blowout since dispatching Langston in early December. Minus Nash, the team's second-leading scorer now said to have a fracture in his left hand, the rotation was limited to just seven players. “I told our guys that everybody is going to have to do something more,” said OSU coach Travis Ford. “It doesn't have to be scoring, because that's the first thing everybody wants to first look at with Le'Bryan. And, for us, 15 points is a lot of points. “But it may be screening better. It may be rebounding better. It may be defending better. Whatever it may be, somebody is going to have to do more. It started with those three other guys. “We told them, ‘You will play in this game.' And they all responded. They all did something positive.” Jurick, making his first start since Jan. 14, grabbed seven rebounds, blocked two shots and altered others. “We needed Philip for sure,” Williams said, “because (David) Loubeau and Ray Turner are both great low-post players.” Guerrero scored five points and handed out two assists, including an alley-oop to Williams for a “Lob Stilly” moment.
