STILLWATER, Okla. - Oklahoma State continued its dominance on both ends of the soccer today field and remained unbeaten with a 3-0 win over Northwestern State.
The 17th-ranked Cowgirls outshot NSU, 36-2, in the contest as they improved to 4-0 on the season. The 36 shots tied for the sixth-highest single-game total in school history. The shutout marked OSU's third in four games this season as the Cowgirls have outscored their opponents by a 15-1 margin. Erin Stigler and Kaitlyn Gustaves combined for the shutout in goal against the Lady Demons, with each goalie playing a half. OSU head coach Colin Carmichael says he's pleased with his team's effort but knows the competition will get tougher. OSU returns to action Friday when it travels to Louisville.
