Mayor resigns from bank post
Stillwater Mayor Roger McMillian has resigned as president of a bank branch where female employees have accused him of sexual harassment.
McMillian resigned as president of the Stillwater branch of The Bank N.A., but retains his position as mayor of Stillwater.
Two former bank employees and a current employee sued McMillian and the bank for harassment in May.
The lawsuit is pending in federal court in Oklahoma City.
McMillian had been president of the bank since 2000 and has been mayor of Stillwater for the past two years.
He could not be reached for comment, but previously denied the allegations and said he would defend himself in the lawsuit.
