This will be the ninth time in the last 11 years the Buffs and Rams have played in Denver. CU has the option of playing the 2009 game on its Boulder campus or in Denver. If the Buffs choose Denver, CSU is obligated to play the 2010 game in Denver. If the Buffs choose Boulder, CSU can play the 2010 game in Denver or on the Rams' Fort Collins campus.

•OU-Texas has been played at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas every year starting in 1929, and the schools are contracted to stay at the Texas State Fair through 2015.

•OSU and Texas Tech have agreed to play their 2009 game at either the Cotton Bowl or in the new Arlington stadium, but a site has not been selected. OSU prefers at least a four-year contract.

Two other Big 12 schools, Nebraska and Kansas State, have in the last 10 years played games in Kansas City's Arrowhead Stadium. So every school except Baylor and Iowa State have at least dabbled in neutral-site games.
