Two robbers used a disabled man’s cane and samurai sword to overpower him at his residence today.

Authorities are searching for two white men who were seen driving away from the victim’s property in a four-door brown car. The car, possibly a Ford, has damage on the passenger side.

The robbery occurred at 11:20 a.m. at the home of Anthony Fallis, 1701 Hughson Avenue. Fallis lives in a mobile home park in the Crutcho community adjacent to Midwest City.

Fallis told investigators he let the two men into his house, because he thought he recognized one of them, Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Department Spokesman Mark Myers said.

Myers said Fallis was blinded with pepper spray before the two men beat him for several minutes with the cane and sword. He was able to make his way into a bedroom where he grabbed an unloaded pistol and bluffed the men into leaving, Myers said.

Fallis was taken to Midwest Regional Medical Center for his injuries.

The mobile home park where Fallis lives has been the scene of other violent crime in recent months.

In July, Mikah Ryan Smith, 35, was shot and killed by mobile home park owner Steven J. Palenko while burglarizing a shed.

In April, Doris Jean Potts, 40, of Moore was shot and killed by her estranged boyfriend, Arlondoe Carl Jones, 35, before he turned the gun on himself.

Anyone with information about the two robbers can call the sheriff’s department at 869-2501.
