Cushing man drowns in Payne County lake
YALE - A Cushing man has drowned while swimming with friends at a Payne County flood retention lake.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 27-year-old Hank Leo Dooley was swimming to shore from an anchored boat Sunday morning when he went underwater and did not resurface.
Police and firefighters were called to the scene and discovered Dooley's body in the flood retention lake around 8:10 a.m.
