Rabin Ozeir was shot about 7 p.m. Jan. 10 in the parking lot of Simpson Chiropractic, 1523 E Main St., police said. He was taken to Hillcrest Hospital in Cushing and then transferred to a Tulsa hospital, where he died a few hours later, police said.

The officers said Ozeir pulled out a handgun and threatened them. They ordered him to drop the gun, but he did not comply. Ozeir was hit by multiple rounds, police said.

Lee advised the Cushing Police Department to remove the officers from administrative suspension and allow them to return to active duty.

Officials have not released the names of the officers.
