Man shot by Cushing police officers dies Friday

Cushing police shot a man Thursday night who pulled a gun on them, authorities said. Rabin Ozeir died Friday at a Tulsa hospital.

— A man shot by police officers on Thursday night died at a hospital early Friday, authorities said.

Rabin Ozeir, 18, was shot about 7 p.m. Thursday in the parking lot of Simpson Chiropractic, 1523 E Main St., police said. He was taken to Hillcrest Hospital in Cushing and then transferred to a Tulsa hospital, where he died about 12:30 a.m. Friday, police said.

Officers said Ozeir pulled out a handgun and threatened them. The officers ordered him to drop the gun, but he did not comply. Ozeir was hit by multiple rounds, police said.

The officers involved in the shooting have been placed on administrative leave, police report. Their names were not released.
