NORMAN — New security measures are in place as Oklahoma opens its season against Louisiana-Monroe at home Saturday.

The university says fans can no longer bring seat cushions and chair backs into the stadium. Those items will be available to rent inside the stadium.

The school says women's purses must be smaller than 10 inches by 10 inches and no bags or backpacks are allowed, including string-type cinch bags. Merchandise bags are also prohibited.

The university says construction on Interstate 35 will affect fans traveling to the stadium.

Kickoff is 6 p.m. Saturday.
