The Press Enterprise reports a Riverside, CA man who was killed after trying to prevent his daughter from driving drunk worked for the Laos government aiding the U.S. efforts in the Vietnam War, according to a man who identified himself as his son-in-law.
Bounmy Rajsombath, 69, was killed Friday, June 13, after he stood behind his daughter’s car when she backed out of the garage and struck him in the driveway, witnesses told police.
Citing witness statements, Riverside police said Soukvilay Barton had been drinking alcohol and arguing with family members Friday at their home in the 14000 block of Bush Avenue in the Canyon Crest area.
