DALLAS — A deal been reached to allow parking through June at a 600-spot lot meant for new apartments near the American Airlines Center in Dallas.

The NBA champion Dallas Mavericks, owned by Mark Cuban, are trying to defend their title. The Mavs have lost two first-round playoff games against Oklahoma City. Game 3 is Thursday at the AAC.

The agreement announced Tuesday involves a lot owned by developer Hillwood Investments and the arena manager, Center Operating Co. Hillwood is operated by Ross Perot Jr.

A local newspaper reports Hillwood in March announced plans to close most of Lot F, but has delayed the move until the end of the sports season.

The AAC is also home to the NHL's Stars, which last month failed to make the playoffs.
