Featured post – 21 Clever pumpkin carving ideas

Have you ever sat back and watched people dance and think, “That is easy. I can do that,” only to try and fail miserably? If you are like me, you look at all the awesome designs others do to pumpkins each year, and in your mind, you think, “I can do that.” Well, have you actually tried it? I have, and it is terribly hard and time-consuming. All of mine end up looking like trolls. So, you can imagine how happy I was to find this list. A lot of them do not require me to cut at all! My favorite is the pumpkin spider, and I will be doing that one this weekend! – Darla Lindauer

Featured post – Fall TV 2013: The 10 Best New Shows [Trailers]

With the weather getting cooler, I hear more and more people say they wish they were cozy on the couch watching a good show. Well, I found what this person believes to be the top-10 new Fall shows. I, personally, with two young girls, do not get time to watch TV. I am still stuck in the dark ages of no DVR, so I might have to make time to watch one of the shows. I am not a big fan of family drama shows, whether they are funny or serious. It is only a reminder of real issues, and I do not need to watch a recreation of daily living. Or, they portray a family life that could never be. Being the sci-fi geek I am, I have to choose the “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” – Darla Lindauer

Featured post – 25 Fun Halloween Foods for Kids

These posts remind me of a fall festival at my sister’s church in Florida. They had a contest for desserts the children made. One of the children made a cake with holes cut out of it — The Holy Ghost. How creative. My fondest childhood Halloween memory is making popcorn balls with my mom. The first huge batch was always gone within minutes with all of us kids and dad. We then made a few more to give to other children. To this day, I have yet to taste any popcorn ball that is even close to my mom’s recipe. I think I see a tradition coming back to life, if she is up for it. I hope you can find a tradition in these cooking ideas.Darla Lindauer

Featured post – 8 Amazing home Theaters

I think all of these are amazing. As I look at these photos, I see the fun in all of them, but I am almost positive I see them all differently than most people do. I looked at each of the theater designs and details, and, in my head, I was seeing all the things that would need to be cleaned to keep it in an acceptable OCD clean state. The one that looks like a spaceship bridge looks the easiest to keep up with, and it does fit into my sci-fi geek mind. But, if I did choose one based just on the coolness, it would be the dark Batman cave one with the library to one side and gargoyles. I love it. – Darla Lindauer
