What blog is about – Old horror films

Featured postThe Skeleton Dance

I think I just found my most favorite blog of all. I love old movies, and I love old scary movies! I have actually seen this little cartoon before, and it brought back good memories! I had a big “cheese” grin on my face the whole time! I was just discussing with a friend of mine, Ray, the other day that I think it is almost impossible to make a good scary movie anymore. I think the true concept of a scary movie that is entertaining came from the old movies, and everything after is just a remake of some kind. A lot of the newer movies focus on the mentally unstable serial killer types, rather than the fantasy type of fear. I love a good scary movie, but I can’t watch the “Saw” movies. The talent and creativeness before computers cannot be beaten by a computer! Love this post! – Darla Lindauer

Featured postHalloween Recipe Idea: Yummy Mummy Meatloaf

I don’t know about your children, but mine will eat meatloaf … but only if their dad makes it. I can try my hardest to make something like him, and I still get the evil eye from the girls. Ha-ha. But, I found this Yummy Mummy Meatloaf, and I am going to try again! I think he just puts catsup on it to get them to like it. Ha-ha. (Yes, catsup is correct, but Ketchup is also correct in reference to a tomato-based condiment with vinegar and spices. The funny thing about that is, I have always spelled it Catsup, and I never noticed it was different on the bottle until just now.) Here is what I found in looking up Catsup or KetchupDarla Lindauer

Featured postEnter to win a $20 Walmart Gift Card – ends 11/4/13

OK, so I am usually skeptical of contest entry sites, but I did this one and a few others on here to test them out. And, as of right now, I have had no spam in my Facebook posts or emails. So, I think it is safe. Ha-ha. I have not won anything yet, but it is like I can’t stop because the possibility is there!!! One benefit is the site does not look too populated yet, so chances are higher! Good Luck. – Darla Lindauer

Featured postOur Chicken Adventures and Videos!

Wow, chicken coops have come a long way! I know some people who have chickens; I wonder if this is what their houses look like. I can tell you this much, it looks prettier than mine. Ha-ha. Make about three of those and you have a little house for humans going. I have seen posts on little houses becoming popular in very populated areas. Here are the things I learned from this post. 1. Chicken coops can be beautiful. 2. Chickens eat cottage cheese. 3. Chickens eat fruit. I am still amazed when I learn things like this. Who knew they would eat real food? – Darla Lindauer

What blog is about – Everything Oklahoma

Featured postThis Week in Oklahoma City

I have lived in Oklahoma for a very long time, and who knew so many things go on all the time. Here is a good list of events going on around the area to help you plan out your holiday adventures! I usually take my girls to church for fall festivals. And, the weather might be quite chilly for trick-or-treating. It never fails. Every Halloween that is cold, I see children running around with no coat on, but the parents are bundled up like it just hit arctic temperatures. Ha-ha. Yes, I am aware of the tantrums and fits children will throw not to wear the coat so the costume can be seen. Forget the costume; put the coat on and save a doctor bill the next week. The option of not going seems to work wonders in my house when it comes to coats being worn. Happy Halloween!– Darla Lindauer
