Featured post – These Glasses Let You Play in 3D Virtual Worlds

I love reading about new technology, but I don’t always want to incorporate it into my life. This one, I think, is going to have to be a “must have” for me. But I am going to need everyone I know to get one as well. This reminds me so much of a holodeck on Star Trek and I am so excited. I know I classify myself as a “sci-fi geek,” but I do not see how anyone could not like this! I am not sure about the price of it, but maybe by next September when it comes out, it will be lower? I can’t help but relate this technology with the fact I’m OCD. I could create a whole room with this technology. The girls could play for hours building and creating things, and there would never be a cleanup. I can dream can’t I?Darla Lindauer

What blog is about – “A resource for all stay-at-home dads. Share stories, ideas, reviews of products, rants, places to take your kids and more.”

Featured post – 25 family themed Halloween costumes

These costumes are so cute. I am not sure I have seen a site dedicated to only family themes. Do families still go out trick-or-treating? I remember growing up and that it was so fun to get all dressed up and go through the neighborhood. But, now it seems most families go to a school or church function. These are some great ideas. – Darla Lindauer

Featured post – 14 Foods To Make You Happy, Energized and Alert

I definitely need to start eating all of these for the energized and alert effect! I think something in the weather is causing me to feel like I have just come from surgery and the anesthesia has not worn off yet. But as I read these, a lot of these mention they help with depression. If you know me, I do not usually need help with being happy. Sometimes, I need something to do the opposite. I am not sure where my happy/goofy side comes from, but even I think I am a bit too much sometimes. I know I am when my girls tell me I am. Here are my comments on a few of these: Chard – I am not sure what to say, but no. It looks lovely and would make my front garden look pretty. Blue potatoes — again, at a loss for words except, I can not do it. I am pretty sure I do not have brain inflammation. And lastly, asparagus — never have liked it and I never will, not even with cheese. – Darla Lindauer

Featured post – Live off the Dollar Store for a Week on a $50 Budget

When I first read the title of the post, I was drawn in to learn how to save money. I have been to a few dollar stores lately, and they have expanded their inventory. They are also a lot more organized than they used to be. So, this would have been a possible project to try, but, then, I looked at the menu. I am not sure about others, but this list has an extreme amount of food for one person. I am not even sure my girls and I could eat all that. I think, though, it is a good article in teaching that planning is definitely a way to save money, even if it is not at the dollar store. From experience, the best tip I have is never go shopping hungry. Every time I do that, I end up with Funyuns. The point is, money is wasted on junk if you don’t follow the “no shopping hungry” rule. – Darla Lindauer

Featured post – The CUTEST Halloween Costumes for DOGS 2013!

Have you ever looked at pictures of something and realized at some point you had the cheesiest smile on your face and it is stuck there like the smile of “The Joker?” I did that with this post, so it is a must see. The video at the end was the best one to me. I do not have a dog, and if I did, I am not sure I would dress them up, but I am glad these people dressed their dogs up just for me to smile. Have fun. – Darla Lindauer
