I don't think so. I think Durant's slow start hurt him more than anything. Had he come out in November setting the league on fire, the Durant bandwagon would have been overflowing after what he did this summer in Turkey.

On the need for a scoring backup for Durant:

People can [stop] saying that. KD plays 40 minutes a game, or close to it. A backup is not THAT important. scoring off the bench comes in the form of James Harden, Daequan Cook and, maybe, just maybe, Nate Robinson when he's healthy.

On what makes Denver a tough first round matchup for Oklahoma City:

They've got a mix of toughness and size upfront in Kenyon Martin and Nene. They've got speed and shooters on the perimeter. They're playing great defense recently. They're deep. And they share the basketball well.
