DC metro gas prices down 5 cents from last week

WASHINGTON (AP) — Gas prices in the D.C. metro area are down 5 cents from a week ago.

In its weekly report released Sunday, AAA says the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gas is $3.46, down from $3.51 a week ago. The price is 15 cents lower than this time a year ago, when the price was $3.61.

The price of gas in the region is 2 cents below the national average of $3.48.

The average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gas in the District of Columbia alone is $3.67, down four cents from a week ago.
