Vanessa Kochevar, CFO of Deaconess Hospital, has received an Outstanding Achievement Award by Community Health Systems, one of the nation's leading operators of general acute-care hospitals.

The organization includes Deaconess Hospital and 134 other hospitals in 29 states. The Outstanding Achievement Award recognizes hospital leaders who have demonstrated an ongoing commitment to quality health care and operational excellence.

Kochevar came to Deaconess in 2011 from Enid.

She has been instrumental in streamlining the hospital's financial reporting system and working with the state of Oklahoma to ensure the smooth transmission of health care data.

She also has overseen revenue cycle improvement and team enhancement at Deaconess Hospital, as well as service line reviews and analysis.

Recent success of the Electronic Medical Record Go-Live can in part be attributed to Kochevar's leadership and assurance of proper usage of resources.
