Regarding “Inmate sues over execution drug shortage” (News, July 7): Michael Hooper, who's scheduled to be executed in August for the deaths of a mother and her two children in 1993, is delaying his day of dying by going to court. He alleges in his lawsuit that the state's low supply of pentobarbital could lead to a painful death. What about the death of the woman and her children? Did he care enough to kill them without pain? I think not.
