Court Clerk Rhonda Vincent was defeated by Jim Hight by a margin of 1,159-645 — or 64 percent to 36 percent.

Vincent told a local newspaper that she wants to make sure the count was accurate. She declined to identify any potential discrepancy in the balloting.

Hight said he has no objection to Vincent exercising her right to a recount.

The recount is scheduled for 9 a.m. Sept. 7 at the Wagoner County Courthouse.
