Last year, Nicola Curry wanted to buy her mother some pajamas for Mother's Day, but she had trouble finding some in her size. “Little did I know there was only one store in the whole state that had a (size) 30,” she said. “I said ‘I'll open a store with the sizes you wear.'”

Curry finds it frustrating that Oklahoma consistently ranks high for obesity rates, yet doesn't offer clothing options for those residents.

Plus 10 Clothing carries sizes 14 to 44 and is one of the few stores in Oklahoma to target plus size customers. She stocks mostly women's clothes such as jeans, dress shirts, T-shirts and pants, but also has scarves and men's shirts and slacks. Her T-shirts go up to a size 6x, yet customers often request sizes up to 10x, so she's working on ordering larger sizes.

Curry said the customers who discover her store are thankful for the clothing options it provides. “I tell them to tell their friends!” Curry said.
