DEL CITY — Police arrested a man Friday in connection with the shooting death of a teenage relative.
Lochinvar Caldwell, 56, was arrested Friday and booked in Oklahoma County jail, where he was being held Saturday afternoon. Caldwell’s bond has not been set.
Police responded Friday evening to a reported disturbance at Caldwell’s home at 2704 Eagle Drive in Del City. When they arrived, they found Caldwell naked and delusional. A 17-year-old female relative was also in the house, police said.
The girl told police Caldwell had shot and killed her brother earlier in the day and forced her to stay at the house all day. Police found the body of 15-year-old Jaquelin Caldwell in a bedroom in the house.
Before officers were called to the home, Lochinvar Caldwell had also started a fight with one of his neighbors, police said.
Caldwell was taken to a local hospital for evaluation before being booked at the jail, police said. The case is still under investigation.
