High school notebook: Del City's Corey Lawrence expected to visit Oregon State

Lawrence played wide receiver, running back and defensive back; also has offers from Arkansas State, Indiana, Kansas State, Tulsa and New Mexico.

Del City's Corey Lawrence is expected to take a weekend visit to Oregon State.

Lawrence (6-foot-1, 175 pounds) has offers that include Arkansas State, Indiana, Kansas State, Tulsa and New Mexico.

Lawrence was primarily a wide receiver/running back for the Eagles this season, though he also saw time in the defensive secondary.

Lawrence had 27 catches for 553 yards and six touchdowns and rushed for 852 yards and 11 touchdowns.

SOUTHMOORE'S EARP SCHEDULES VISIT

Southmoore linebacker Cody Earp will take a visit to South Dakota State this weekend.

Earp has an offer from Colorado State-Pueblo and has drawn attention from Wyoming, Indiana State, Southeast Missouri State and Pittsburg State (Kan.).

He had 70 tackles this season.

Also, SaberCats fullback/tight end/defensive end Jackson Stallings is expected to make his decision Monday.

Stallings has taken visits to several Ivy League schools and his offers include Air Force, Harvard and Yale.

Ivy League schools such as Harvard and Yale do not award athletic scholarships but grant need-based financial aid for athletes.

5A/6A STATE BASEBALL SITES UNSETTLED

The Class 5A and 6A state baseball championships will likely be played in the Oklahoma City area for the first time in more than a decade, but the exact sites are still unknown.
