Del City's quarterback still undecided

Del City continued its quarterback battle Thursday, using three different quarterbacks against Edmond Memorial with mixed results.

Sophomore Terry Wilson got the start in the half game, leading the Eagles to a touchdown with an 18-yard pass to Anthony Mason on a screen pass.

Senior Will Trotter then guided the Eagles to a TD on the next drive with a 28-yard TD pass over the top. Trotter also completed the game-tying drive with a 3-yard TD pass to Davion Freeman and then he tied the game with a two-point conversion pass to tight end Jordan Cook with 21 seconds remaining.

“We’re still battling it,” Del City coach Nick Warehime said. “I thought they did a pretty good job. We had a few busts, but Edmond brought a lot of pressure at us, blitzed us a lot and you know it is what it is.”

Sophomore Collin Watford played just one series.
