Former Disney princess Demi Lovato has made herself into a queen of gay-rights activism. Now she’s recorded a new online video supporting marriage equality, according to USA TODAY.

Lovato’s video, for the Human Rights Campaign, the nation’s largest gay civil-rights organization, kicks off the relaunch of its Americans for Marriage Equality campaign, featuring celebs who support efforts to expand marriage-equality rights nationwide.

“Let’s protect love and strengthen the institution of marriage by allowing loving, caring and committed same-sex couples to legally marry,” she says in the video.
