PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Five Democratic gubernatorial hopefuls support raising the minimum wage and imposing a tax on natural gas drillers, but they disagree on expanding gambling in Pennsylvania.

Former state environmental protection secretaries Katie McGinty and John Hanger; York businessman Tom Wolf; Lebanon County commissioner Jo Ellen Litz; and U.S. Rep. Allyson Schwartz spoke Tuesday at a candidates forum in Philadelphia.

The event was sponsored by the non-partisan Philadelphia Business Journal and WHYY. Two candidates could not attend due to scheduling conflicts.

Participants agreed the state should not privatize liquor and wine sales. Hanger was the sole advocate for legalizing marijuana.

Many bashed incumbent Republican Gov. Tom Corbett for not creating enough jobs. A statement from Corbett's campaign says Democratic policies would increase spending and kill the energy industry.
