I can't support Barack Obama or the Democratic Party's platform. They don't reflect my beliefs. I believe in God and the Bible and that man and woman were created to be joined together in marriage. I don't believe that same-sex marriage is ordained by God. I believe all of us should provide for our personal needs and that a child is a gift from God to be cherished and protected from conception to birth.
I don't believe I should be forced to pay for contraceptives for others, as this isn't essential to the needs of life. Or to pay for abortions, as this is murder and I want no part of it. I believe that all people should work hard to provide for themselves and their families and that it's our responsibility to help those less fortunate. I don't believe government has the right to take what I've earned and give it to those who've not earned it or that entitlements improve circumstances.
I believe that all people, businesses, corporations and governments should live within their means. I don't believe that more government encourages success or that government should continue to spend when funds aren't available. I believe that people can have differing opinions and still have respect for one another. I don't believe that hateful speech, slander or untruths have any place in our society.
Therefore, I proudly stand ready to cast my vote for Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan in November.
