Demolition begins in preparation for Edmond public safety center

The Chase Motor Bank was the first building scheduled to be demolished to make way for a new public safety center in Edmond.

Workers from Midwest Wrecking Co. began tearing down the Chase Motor Bank at Second Street and Littler on Thursday.

The old bank drive-thru demolition is the first to take place in preparation for construction of a new public safety center in downtown Edmond.

Edmond police are advising drivers that parking in the area will be unavailable until the demolition is complete.
