NATCHITOCHES, La. (AP) — The Northwestern State baseball team's game at Southern University scheduled for Wednesday has been postponed because of threatening weather forecast for the Baton Rouge area.

The Demons (3-4) now will host Southern (2-2) for a three-game series that begins at 6:30 p.m. on Friday in Brown-Stroud Field. It will be the Demons' first weekend series at home.

Friday's game opens an eight-game homestand for Northwestern State that includes a contest against LSU, the nation's top-ranked team, on March 4.
