A breakdown of defensive ends in the Denver Broncos' training camp:

Derek Wolfe: Second-round pick last season out of Cincinnati, Wolfe (40 tackles, six sacks) started all 16 games as a rookie.

Robert Ayers: Former first-round pick, taken 18th overall, Ayers was a starter in 2010 and 2011 but has only 6.5 career sacks in four seasons.

Malik Jackson: Fifth-round pick out of Tennessee, Jackson recorded only five tackles in 14 games his rookie season.

Shaun Phillips: Former Pro Bowler, who plays defensive end and linebacker, Phillips compiled 69.5 career sacks in nine seasons in San Diego.

Jeremy Beal: Fifth-round pick out of OU in 2011, Beal was on the practice squad two years ago, placed on IR with a knee injury last year.

Quanterus Smith: Rookie fifth-round pick out of Western Kentucky says he's fully recovered from a torn ACL he suffered late his senior season.

John Youboty: Undrafted rookie free agent from Rice.

Lanston Tanyi: Undrafted rookie free agent from Colorado State.
