A Depew woman died after a traffic accident on a state highway in Payne County, and an Oklahoma City woman died after an accident in southwestern Arkansas, authorities reported.

Cindy Leann Long, 22, of Depew

About 11 a.m. Thursday, George Hutchinson, 46, of Ralston, was driving a tractor trailer south on State Highway 86, about 10 miles south of Perry. Hutchinson was trying to pass a tractor driven by Jolene Dossett, 36, of Cleveland, when the tractor turned left and hit the front wheels of the tractor trailer, troopers said.

Dossett’s passenger, Long, was thrown from the vehicle.

Dossett, Hutchinson and Hutchinson’s passenger were not injured.

Long and Dossett were not wearing seat belts, troopers said.

Eugenia Vasquez-Aponte, 41, of Oklahoma City

Vasquez-Aponte died after she was hit by a vehicle that left the scene early Wednesday on Arkansas 32 in Little River County about five miles west of Ashdown, the Arkansas State Police reported.

The report states the type of vehicle that struck the woman is unknown, but it is believed the vehicle was eastbound at the time.
