Derek Fisher blogs that Kevin Durant is the MVP

Thunder guard Derek Fisher jumped on his blog Tuesday to tell it like it is: Kevin Durant is the MVP.

"As an active NBA player, I don’t have a vote for league MVP. But if I did, it would go to Kevin Durant," Fisher says. "I unequivocally believe that Kevin has earned that honor this season, and it’s not because he’s going to win the scoring title again. He has provided a MVP-caliber performance on both ends of the floor, and in his approach to the game."

Fisher goes on to list Durant's consistency, his level of play during Russell Westbrook's injury and his streak of games with 25 points or more as reasons he's the league's MVP this season. But Fisher also says Durant is playing this year with less stress, while maintaining a competitiveness that likens him to Fisher's former teammates Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O'Neal.
