The New York Knicks didn't waste much time after their season ended, as team president Phil Jackson announced Monday that their coaching staff has been relieved of its duties, effective immediately.

Steve Kerr appears to be the frontrunner for the Knicks head coaching position, but many have speculated that Fisher could be joining the Knicks in some capacity, be it as an assistant or a front office executive. Fisher and Jackson combined for five championships with the Los Angeles Lakers in the 2000s, with Fisher at point guard and Jackson as the head coach.
