Details emerge about memorial service for Oklahoma tornado victims

A memorial and prayer service to honor Oklahoma tornado victims will be an evening event, a spokesman for Gov. Mary Fallin’s office said Thursday. 
Alex Weintz said the service is set for 6 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church of Moore, 301 NE 27 in Moore. He said parking for the service will be at Plaza Mayor at The Crossroads, formerly known as Crossroads Mall, at 7000 Crossroads Blvd. He said shuttle service will be provided to the church. Weintz said the parking arrangements have been made because a large crowd is expected and parking will be limited at the church.
A tornado cut a deadly swath through Moore, destroying numerous homes and two elementary schools. Twenty-four people perished in the storm.
