EDMOND — Thermal imaging equipment on an Oklahoma City police helicopter helped Edmond police catch a man during an early morning chase Wednesday. The device detected the man hiding in a tree.

Police started chasing Jesse Mosley, 31, Norman, about 1:31 a.m. while he was driving a stolen Alfa Romeo, an Italian sports car, said Glynda Chu, Edmond Police Department spokeswoman.

Ten minutes after the high-speed chase started at 1300 E 15th St. in Edmond, Mosley crashed into a tree at Arcadia Lake near Central State Park, Chu said.

Mosley was found in a tree just over an hour after he ran on foot from police, Chu said.

“Officers and a police dog were looking for him when he was spotted with the thermal imaging equipment,” Chu said.

Mosley was arrested on complaints of eluding a police officer, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, resisting arrest and speeding. Mosley was in Oklahoma City jail Wednesday morning.

The car was reported stolen from 403 N Vickie Drive in Oklahoma City in October, said Joe Stover, the fleet manager for the owner, Buddy's Classic Cars LLC.

Five vehicles were stolen at the same time last year, Stover said. All but one of the vehicles has now been recovered, he said.

None of the vehicles were insured at the time of the thefts, Stover said.

I believe that TU is a troll looking to incite arguments. Lateley I have been seeing his posts on several different stories. Either he is a troll of just hates Oklahoma and the USA. Haven't quite figured that out yet. I invite him to go back where he came from.

Well well well, maybe the edmond police can lend the okc cops their equipment and charge the guy that slaughtered all those birds at his high (he thinks) dollar marina. Really a junk marina in a large dirty mud hole.

No! What is obvious is that Tu is one of those who probably wastes the time of the police with stupid things like stealing from others or assaulting family members. He can only bad mouth them on an anonymous website to try and get even. He can't even make a statement on the site that only half makes sense!
