Diamondbacks sell RHP Bergesen to Japanese team

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — The Arizona Diamondbacks have sold right-hander Brad Bergesen to the Chunichi Dragons in Japan.

The 27-year-old Bergesen was 2-1 with a 3.64 ERA in 19 games with Arizona last season.

He also pitched 22 games in the Baltimore system with Triple-A Norfolk before the Diamondbacks claimed him on waivers on July 20.
