FROM STAFF REPORTS Published: June 14, 2014

Visitors to the Norman Public Library West learned how to check out free eBooks and audiobooks and use a variety of eReading devices when the Digital Bookmobile operated by Overdrive Inc. made a stop there as part of a national tour. The high-tech, customized tractor-trailer spent Wednesday afternoon parked outside the westside library branch at 300 Norman Center Court so people could tour it and learn about eReading devices. The 74-foot-long, 18-wheel vehicle is a modern take on the traditional bookmobile that has served communities for decades. Norman and Clinton were the only Oklahoma cities included in the bookmobile’s national tour.
