/> Deep Deuce has been spinning out burgers and steaks since the rebirth of the area. The Wedge downtown is the second incarnation of the hip pizzeria, the other located in the Western District. Go west toward the Civic Center and you’ll find Trattoria il Centro, Soleil, The Museum Cafe and La Luna. Maggie Howell and chef Christine Dowd operate the space in The Montgomery Building, offering simple, elegant Italian cuisine and an expanded wine list at Trattoria il Centro. Soleil is the brainchild of the brothers Buthion, Michel and Alain. Owners of La Baguette Bistro, this upscale restaurant manned by executive chef Geoff van Glabbeek is in the Colcord Hotel. If you’re looking for something quicker, look no further than Coney Island and The Lunch Box — two downtown institutions. You’ll have no problem finding a place to eat before the games, you might just have to bounce around a little.
