/> New head coach Lynn Cutshaw will work with four other new coaches to establish fresh offensive and defensive schemes.

"There’s going to be a big learning curve,” Cutshaw said.

The Longhorns only won two district games last season, but hope the new coaching staff’s changes will give Inola a bigger presence in 3A-3.

"It’s a tough district,” Cutshaw said. "There’s no weak pups.”

Burgoyne back for Conquerors
Victory Christian is returning a quarterback who threw for more than 1,000 yards in just four games last season.

Jason Burgoyne, only 5-foot-8 and 160 pounds, began last season as the third-string quarterback but got to play in a handful of games for the Conquerors. He was successful making short passes last season, picking up chunks of yards wherever available.

Despite his limited action last season, coach Brent Marley is excited to have Burgoyne as the starting quarterback this season.

"He’s a gutsy kid,” Marley said. "He makes really good decisions and is really good at understanding what we’re trying to do on offense.”
