District B-4 member Davenport finished 2011 as the Class B state runner-up and averaged 45 points a game last season. The Bulldogs return running back and wide receiver Kevin Thomas.

Thomas rushed for just 420 yards last season but averaged 9.1 yards per carry. He caught 43 balls for 674 yards with 12 touchdowns.

Davenport coach John Greenfield said his offense will focus more on putting the ball in the air to capitalize on Thomas ability at wideout.
