Grady Frantz is the player Thomas is leaning on to give the Bison some added help on defense. He will be starting a fourth season on the defensive line.
As for offense, Balko put up 38.3 points per game last season. Frantz will split running time with Wyatt Casper. Led by Jordan Busch at quarterback, the Bison should contend for home field advantage in the playoffs.
A matchup with Sharon Mutual in week 8 could determine playoff positioning.
