DOD outsourcing helicopters to Russia

The Department of Defense's shortsighted policy of outfitting Afghanistan's security forces with Russian Mi-17 rotorcraft helicopters transfers your savings directly to Russian weapons makers, as the Federal Reserve system causes inflation by printing dollars that devalue your savings, buys U.S. Treasury bills — your national debt — and then Congress funds the Pentagon, which wires your former hard-earned money to Moscow instead of to U.S. factory workers. Tell your congressmen to make the Pentagon buy American even if they must buy a couple training simulators first, to teach pilots to fly hardware designed by U.S. engineers and built by U.S. technicians. To fix our own economy for U.S. citizens, the United States needs to invest in online education for science and technology with some hands-on instructor meetings, plus assistance to fund and empower related U.S. startups and other U.S. firms. That beats repaving roads that don't need it as a “stimulus.”
